Established in 1990, the Korean Rhinologic Society now boasts a 33-year history and continues to grow. Although I feel the weight on my shoulders as the president during this critical time, I am wholeheartedly dedicated to doing my best for the Korean Rhinologic Society, leveraging all my abilities and passion.

As the president of the Korean Rhinologic Society, I will make the following efforts.

Firstly, our focus is on creating the Korean Rhinologic Society, which will be built upon the foundation of the academy. The academy serves as the cornerstone of our society, and to ensure its prominence, we are actively working towards normalizing the Journal of Rhinology and striving for its inclusion in the Science Citation Index (SCI). Additionally, preparations are underway for the 2024 Spring Meeting, an international conference that will provide a platform for the internationalization of the Korean Rhinologic Society.

Secondly, our mission is to generate opportunities and benefits for future generations within the Korean Rhinologic Society. We aim to become a dependable strategic partner for our members, and to achieve this, we will significantly strengthen the size and authority of the current insurance committee. Moreover, we will advocate for the appointment of non-standing members to the Review and Assessment Service, while also driving the development of various novel medical technologies to advance our field.

Furthermore, we are committed to active engagement with the public. After enduring the challenges brought by the three-year COVID-19 pandemic, we have gained a profound understanding of the importance of nasal health and the sense of smell in our overall well-being. In order to foster closer connections with the public, we will establish 'Nose Day' and curate diverse promotional events aimed at raising awareness and educating the general population.

The Korean Rhinologic Society serves as a cherished home for our members, built with the dedication and efforts of our esteemed seniors. We are unwavering in our commitment to continuously enhance this home, making it more spacious, comfortable, and inviting. As the 17th executive directors of the Korean Rhinologic Society, we pledge to wholeheartedly work towards a better future for our society, always prioritizing the best interests of our members. We extend our heartfelt appreciation for your active participation, interest, and invaluable guidance.
